Sudoku Scholarship

sudoku scholarship
Majorly important scholarship question. I am BEGGING you to help me!?

I was invited to compete for a scholarship to the amazing school of Cranbrook. If I get this, I will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship for tenth through twelfth grade at their college preparatory school. I’ve applied and everything, but I just don’t know what to do next. My questions are:

~ What teachers should I have write letters of recommendation? (As in what subjects)
~ What can I do to prepare for the test they give us to decide the winner(S)?
~ What is considered a special talent?
– Does sudoku count as a talent? (I finish a book of one-hundred and sixty puzzles in two to three days)
~ What can I do at the interview to show good personal qualities?

Please, I need this. PLEASE.

I can help you with a few but not all your questions.

The teachers that you should have write your letters really don’t need to be a specific type of teacher…. You need to make sure that who you choose knows you well enough to write an in depth letter, because some short general letter isn’t going to cut it. So just make sure you pick your closest teachers.

A special talent should be something you’re exceptionally good at and for the purposes of this scholarship it should be something that makes you stand out. Sudoku is not something I would have thought of as a talent but it is a great, unique talent! I would mention it, just make sure you write why this talent is worth mentioning….for example what strengths do you have that allow you to have such a talent.

At the interview show confidence, your responses should be genuine and honest. Most importantly let your individual personality shine, these people likely meet with tons of people that all behave in a stiff, sort of fake manner. So allow yourself to laugh, tell a story if appropriate, ask the interviewer questions as well…don’t let it be a one way conversation.

For all other advise you should look up current students, since they have first hand knowledge…try facebook if you don’t know anyone personally. Good luck!
