Sudoku Creator Software
How does one go about creating a Sudoku puzzle, and how is the difficulty level determined by the creator?
I’ve loved doing Sudoku puzzles for about two years now, and have gotten pretty good at them. But I can’t figure out how one actually creates one. Is a special formula or software program of some kind required to come up with those books that have hundreds of puzzles? Also, how is the difficulty level determined? I just did one online that was supposed to be at the highest difficulty level, but it only took me about four minutes to do, and didn’t seem al that hard. There ahve been ones with lower ratings that have taken me longer.
There’s no set formula for creating or assigning difficulty. Some folk label difficulty randomly, or make easy puzzles but label them hard to make people feel better about solving them — these obviously are inferior. Find the good and tricky makers out there that you like.
It is harder to make a hard puzzle.
